A 21 year old feminist, from the Chicago area, in a small country town in the midwest. I was fortunate to have a conservative southern father and a liberal city mother. It created a neat perspective for my siblings and I to get to pick and choose what we believe to be right from wrong.
In having a close relationship with my mother and having strong female and male role models in my life, I learned early on that no one should be treated less for things we can not control about ourselves. Whether its gender, race, orientation, hair color, ethnicity, webbed toes. None of these should effect our basic human rights.
To me it is about who people are when they have a bad waiter/waitress, slow internet, or if they give there seat up to someone on the bus.
