Feminism is for everyone

One of the misassumptions that I come across all the time is the belief that Feminism is only for women. When considering the definition of

Feminism: the advocacy of women’s rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes.

While the group is majority women this idea that its only for women is inaccurate. It is the idea of having all humans have equal rights. Women are just the fundamental group in this scenario because they have been deprived of equality for so long, and ongoing as well.

This is why lately some men have stood up and said that they were Feminist’s. They want their sisters, aunts, grandmas, and mothers to have equal rights to anyone. But women when we stand up and say we are Feminist’s you need to know that you are not just fighting for the women, but also anyone else in this world who is being degraded and deprived of the equality all humans are supposed to receive.

Be an Optimistic Feminist, no matter who you are or where you come from. Take a stand and say that all people deserve equal pay, respect among others, the ability to move up in a career, the ability to be a voice and to not just be seen but to be heard and taken seriously. Optimistic Feminist’s are a force to be reckoned with. Join us in the fight for all to have equality.
